CRIME ALERT: University of Michigan DPS

Date of Incident:	Oct. 13, 2009, about 8:29 p.m.
Location:	Michigan League, 911 North University Ave.
Offense:	Unarmed Robbery
Summary:	(updated on Oct 15 2009 12:00) CANCELED - suspect arrested. (updated on Oct 13 2009 22:14) A man asked clerk at front desk for change. When she opened the cash drawer, the man reached in and grabbed money. He fled on foot out the north door.
Suspects:	1: Black male, about 40-50 years old, scruffy beard, wearing a dark, Carhart-type jacket and black skull cap.

If you see a suspect, do not approach--call police.
Always keep your doors locked, even while at home.
Look assertive and be aware of your surroundings.
Be aware that your risk increases in secluded and isolated areas.
Walk with a trusted friend or co-worker when possible.
Trust your intuition. If a particular situation makes you feeluncomfortable or unsafe, choose an alternative.
Have your keys in hand before you reach your vehicle or residence.
