Lost and Found

Looking for your backpack, can't find your car keys, found someone's eyeglasses? If so, please contact the Department of Public Safety at any time. If you have found someone's property please forward it to the Department of Public Safety where it will be logged in and kept until claimed by the owner. Item in which the owner is not known or cannot be contacted are held for safekeeping for up to six months, depending of the value of the article. After that time has elapsed items are appropriately disposed of.

If you are looking for something you have lost please contact our unit assigned to lost and found at (734) 936-2791. The hours of operation for the property unit are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We can determine if your property has been turned in and you can make arrangements to identify it and pick it up.
